Dr. Grace T. Cruz, academic program coordinator of UPPI, gave an overview of the Institute and discussed about its current graduate program offerings. She also talked about the existing population data archive that the Institute has, and encouraged the audience to make use of it for future studies.
Last March, the UPPI also visited the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Sta. Mesa, Manila and organized a similar undertaking in recruiting students who might be interested in doing postgraduate studies in demographic and applied social research. Through these endeavors, the Institute also looks forward in strengthening linkages and collaboration with higher education institutions in promoting big (survey) data appreciation and analysis.
